How it Works?

Ayurveda considers each person as a unique individual made up of five primary elements namely earth, water, fire, air and space (ether) just as in nature. These basic elements present in us have ability to combine among themselves to create the various physiological functions. Such combination of elements is called as Doshas, which can be closely translated as bio-energies. Thus the elements of Air & Fire combine to create Vata Dosha, a bio energy which governs the principle of movement and can be seen as the force controlling nerve impulses, circulation, respiration and elimination etc., The elements of Fire and Water combine to create Pitta Dosha, a bio energy which governs the transformation (metabolism) and seen as the force behind transformation of foods into nutrients, metabolism in the organ, tissue and cellular systems. Finally the elements of Earth & Water combine to create Kapha Dosha, a bio energy which is responsible for growth and can be seen as a force adding structure to our body and offering protection in form of fluid to various organs and tissues. Ayurveda believes when the Doshas function in harmonized manner, it results in well-being of a person. But the disharmony between the Doshas, will result in elemental imbalance, thus leading to various ailments. The treatment to such imbalances is imparted by PANCHA KARMA THERAPY, massages, herbal medicines, diet control and exercises in form of yoga and meditation.
